Leave Supporting Documents – Flexible Requirement Configuration

Leave Supporting Documents – Flexible Requirement Configuration

We have enhanced the Leave Configuration with more flexible controls for supporting document requirements.

Organizations can now decide whether supporting documents should be Optional, Always Mandatory, or Conditionally Mandatory for each leave type.

This allows HR teams to collect documents only when they are genuinely required, instead of applying the same rule to every leave request.

You can now choose from three document requirement options:

Optional

  • Employees can upload a supporting document if required, but it is not mandatory to submit the leave request.

Always Mandatory

  • A supporting document is required for every leave request under the selected leave type.
  • Employees will not be able to submit the request without attaching the required document.

Conditionally Mandatory

Supporting documents become mandatory only when the configured condition is met.
Organizations can configure conditions such as:

  • If an employee applies for more than a specified number of leave days in a single continuous stretch.
  • If the employee’s total usage of that leave type exceeds a configured number of days within the year.
  • If the condition is not met, document upload remains optional.
